Offset Energy LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective September 13, 2026
This policy explains how Offset Energy LLC collects and uses information submitted through this website.
Website activity
We count page visits, engagement and form starts using a random identifier kept for this browser tab. These first-party activity records contain the campaign source, general campaign market and event time, not form answers, your name, phone, email or advertising click identifiers. They are used for our private campaign dashboard and are not sent to Google or Meta by this feature. Closing the tab ends this session identifier.
Information we collect
- Home and eligibility information, including address, ZIP code, county inferred for routing and confirmed during follow-up, homeowner status, electric provider, and approximate electric-bill range.
- Contact information, including name, mobile phone number, and email address.
- Assessment details, such as solar and battery priorities, timing, decision-maker availability, appointment status, and later sales outcomes.
- Consent records, including the exact consent version, permitted purpose and channels, timestamp, source page, and browser information.
- Attribution information, including landing page, referring page, Google click identifiers, and UTM campaign parameters.
- Documents you later choose to share, such as a utility-bill photo. The public website does not currently accept document uploads.
- Optional interest in internet, mobile-phone, TV, and related telecommunications options only when you affirmatively select the optional future-updates checkbox.
How we use information
We use information to evaluate basic service-area and homeowner eligibility, respond to a solar or battery assessment request, schedule and prepare an appointment, collect a utility bill at the assessment to prepare a design and proposal for a return appointment, prevent duplicate or unwanted contact, maintain consent and opt-out evidence, understand campaign performance, and improve our operation.
If you opt in to the combined future-updates choice on the final priorities step, the telecom permission is stored separately by purpose and may cover internet, mobile-phone, TV, and related telecommunications options. Telecom follow-up is not currently active. Any later telecom follow-up must stay within the permission you selected and wait until the solar opportunity is settled under our operating rules.
How information may be shared
We may share information with an assigned solar representative and with service providers that help us host the site, operate our CRM, communicate, schedule, secure data, and measure the assessment process. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us. Phase A does not sell or rent submitted leads to an open marketplace.
SMS consent and opt-in data are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process that information only to deliver communications and other services for us.
Cookies and tracking
The site may use essential cookies, local storage, standard server logs, and similar technologies to operate securely, preserve form state, prevent abuse, and understand how the assessment experience performs. We also receive campaign and referral information included in the page address, such as Google click identifiers and UTM parameters. If we add materially different analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy as required.
Optional Google and Meta advertising measurement is off until you allow it in Privacy choices and the relevant measurement service is active. With your permission, these services may receive browser and device information, your IP address, the page address, advertising identifiers and a conversion event when an assessment request is saved. The event excludes your form answers, name, phone number and email. We do not enable advanced matching or send server-side conversion events. A browser Global Privacy Control signal keeps optional measurement off.
You can withdraw your choice in Privacy choices. Withdrawal blocks future conversion events from this site and updates already-loaded advertising tags to denied consent; that update may itself communicate consent status to the service. It cannot recall information already sent. We retain a separate record of your choice and the notice shown. Declining measurement does not affect your assessment or communications permissions.
Calls, texts, email, and opt-outs
By selecting “Request my assessment” beneath the request disclosure, you ask Offset Energy and an assigned solar representative to call, text and/or email about your solar and battery assessment request and scheduling. This permission applies to the current request. On the final priorities step, one optional checkbox covers future solar, battery, home-energy, internet, mobile phone and TV updates by call, email or automated marketing text.
The combined future-updates choice includes telecom calls, emails and automated marketing texts. The separate telecom-only interest form retains its own choices. Declining an optional marketing checkbox does not affect the solar request. Reply STOP to a text to opt out of texts, or email us using the address below.
Utility bills and sensitive documents
Have your latest electric bill ready for the representative to collect at your assessment. Its usage information helps prepare your design and proposal for a return appointment. The bill is not required for the first call and this form does not accept uploads. Agree on the appropriate service channel if an electronic copy is needed; avoid personal group chats or social accounts.
Retention and security
We review inactive lead and home-qualification information 90 days after the last substantive activity and remove or anonymize unnecessary details within 30 days of that review. Information needed for an active assessment, proposal, transaction, dispute, or specific legal or provider requirement is retained while that purpose continues and reviewed periodically. We also review first-party click, browser, and measurement records after 90 days and may retain de-identified campaign totals.
We retain the minimum consent, required call, commercial, and compliance records for the applicable recordkeeping period, including five years where the Telemarketing Sales Rule requires it. This does not mean every form answer or document is kept for five years. We keep a minimal suppression record as needed to honor an opt-out. Necessary legal or provider holds can require longer retention. We remove unnecessary utility-bill working copies within 30 days after their active purpose ends, subject to those requirements. Information already received by a service provider is also subject to its applicable terms and legal obligations; withdrawing measurement permission does not erase information already sent.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask to review, correct, or delete information, or to stop future contact, subject to legal and operational exceptions. California residents may also have rights under applicable California privacy law. To make a request, email privacy@offsetenergysolar.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children and changes
This service is intended for adults age 18 or older and is not directed to children under 18. We may update this policy as the service, legal requirements, or provider relationships change. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where required, new consent.
